Join me for the Rest of the Weary Women’s Retreat – A Christian Health Retreat to slow down, learn and recharge. Learn about the impact of stress on your health and what you can do about it. Leave feeling refreshed, energized, encouraged and empowered to live life with less stress.

The weekend includes gentle exercise, meditation from a biblical perspective, encouragement from God’s Word, quiet prayer time, participant guide & worksheets, group activities, nourishing lunch and snacks, lectures from Lori Bryant on how stress effects the body and from Kristen Smith on using herbs and essential oils to support stress handling, relaxation and sleep.  The event includes a Make & Take essential oil project as well as a Make & Take string art project led by Denise Lane from Forge & Twine.

Then the Rest for the Weary Women’s Retreat is the place for you!

It will be held in the conference room at my office, 3864 Center Rd., Brunswick OH 44212 on February 15 & 16 from 10am-5pm (come as early as 9 for coffee/tea and extra time to fellowship).  This will be a great weekend to recharge!
This Health Retreat Includes:

  • Participant book & worksheets
  • Learning how stress impacts our health including it’s impact on the HPA axis, neurotransmitters, the gut, our hormones, anxiety, depression and sleep
  • Learning ways to help support the body and it’s ability to handle stress
  • Gentle exercise & stretching
  • Biblical meditation, quiet time & prayer
  • Breathing exercises to support a healthy stress response
  • Time to connect, fellowship, and encourage one another
  • Group activities
  • Lectures on how to use essential oils, adaptogenic and nervine herbs to help support stress handling, winding down, anxiety and sleep along with an essential oil Make & Take project by the amazing Kristen of A Better Way to Thrive
  • String art project Make & Take with the fantastic Denise of Forge & Twine
  • Nourishing lunch provided each day (with dietary restriction accommodations – just let me know) as well as healthy snacks, organic tea and coffee

This retreat is for women ages 18 and up. No children, please.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. If you have an exercise mat and would like to bring it, please do. If you do not have your own, one will be provided for you. Please notify me of any dietary restrictions or requests that you may have so that I may accommodate that. If you have any other needs or concerns, please let me know – I am happy to do whatever you need to make the most of this weekend.

    I was not prepared for all of the squats we did 😂 but they were needed! Lori did such a great job of teaching, showing exercises that we could do at home & without equipment (no excuses now!), & weaving God’s word into everything we did this weekend. The food, booklet, & goodie bad details were AMAZING! And the guest speakers & projects were so informative & fun. Everything was lovely & worth the investment for my body, mind, & spirit 💕

    This retreat was an awesome experience! I learned so much about stress and how nutrition, exercise, prayer, and even our thoughts can decrease the stress in our life. Little things in my daily life that I can change that will affect my overall health (ex: sunlight, positive thinking, prayer, eating healthy, our relationships). Lori is very knowledgeable and inspiring. I highly recommend this retreat!!

    I have no complaints about this retreat. There was exercising, breathing techniques (I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep both days), tasty food/snacks, great information on stress/anxiety. We went over nutrition, herbs, essential oils. There was a fun craft to bring home. The best part is God’s word was incorporated in it all. It was well organized and informative. Lori was so nice and it was a treat getting to know her. I would definitely recommend this & would do it again myself.
